A full day immersion where we explore how movement, sound and deeper listening can shape and benefit our human experience. BODYBASED is a guided movement practice inspired by somatic methods and movement psychology. At its core lies the understanding that movement can be a pathway to self-discovery and growth. Through dance, breathwork, sound and reflection - we invite you to connect with the body as a source of awareness, knowledge and presence. This 5 hours workshop moves between dynamic exploration and quieter moments of integration and rest.
Joining this full-day workshop we will:
- Explore movement as a tool to become more present in your life
- Practice body awareness
- Experience the power of listening with the use of deep soundscapes
- Practice listening to the "Language of the body”
- Engage in guided movement that supports:
* Grounding (sensing support and stability in the body)
* Release (using rhythmic movement to release tension)
* Flow (entering a creative state fully immersed in the present moment)
Facilitated by Heidi & Karen, co-founders of BODYBASED who brings extensive experience from movement, somatic methods and facilitation.
Important information:
We do not seek improvement, performance, or mastery in our classes. Rather, one of our core practices is to meet ourselves with a curious and accepting approach. We are guided by the principle that there is no right or wrong experience or way of moving. Participants will not be invited to interact with each other during the class.
